Meet Joyce Wong Kup, Parent Advisor to the National Commission on Social, Emotional, and Academic Development
For the past several months, Women Online has been working with the The Aspen Institute to convene a Parent Advisory Panel that is responsible for advising the National Commission on Social, Emotional, and Academic Development (SEAD). Together, they are trying to re-envision what constitutes success in our schools by supporting the "whole child" - not just focusing on academic success but social emotional development as well.
Joyce Wong Kup, a parent advisor and mom of 2, recently spoke to The Aspen Institute about what supporting the “whole child" means to her and her children.
Do you see examples of your child's school supporting social emotional awareness and development? We'd love to hear about it. Drop a comment below and let us know.
